Lucía Pérez - Que Me Quiten Lo Bailao

Lucía Pérez was born in 1985 in the beautiful village of O Incio, in the Celtic mountains of Galicia. She has been a music lover since her childhood, when she started taking part in — and winning — song contests.

When she was barely 17 she won her first TV contest and in 2003 she recorded her first album, which received the Galician «Gold Disc» Award. In the spring of 2005 she obtained the first prize in the «Galician Soloist Pop Album» awards. At the end of that same year she released her second album and travelled to Chile to represent Spain in the Viña del Mar Song Festival, where she came second.

That same year, her song «Amarás Miña Terra» was selected for the Spanish Music Awards as one of the finalists for the «Best Song in Galician» award. In 2008, her third album was released simultaneously in Spain and Chile, where she toured extensively to promote it. She had such a good experience in the Viña del Mar Song Festival in Chile that in 2009 she took part in the contest again. In early 2010 she released her fourth album, recorded entirely in Galician language.

Lucía studied singing and classical guitar and is qualified as a music teacher. She is presently finishing her degree in pedagogics.

The final version of the Spanish entry for Eurovision 2011 Que me quiten lo bailao has leaked on YouTube. The clip was published earlier this morning and was recorded during the shooting of the preview video yesterday. The new version features celtic sounds, bagpipes, violins and other traditional instruments.

The final version of Que me quiten lo bailao also presents some changes in the lyrics and verses of the song. It seems that finally the possibility of including some parts in Galician has been ruled out.

The clip that you can see below was recorded yesterday, Saturday 5th, during the shooting of the official video for the song, which took place in Sitges, Barcelona.Everyone was invited to participate, on the condition of wearing a disguise.

Lucía Pérez, the Spanish representative in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, has filmed this weekend in Sitges the video clip for the song Que Me Quiten Lo Bailao. Now it is time for working on the video edition and the music production of the final version of the song that will become very familiar to us.

The video clip was shot this weekend in Sitges, taking advantage of the famous Carnival celebration in this Catalan town. The public broadcaster has reported that they have chosen the Carnival of Sitges as location of the video clip because it is a carefree party and it was ideal for a festive song like this.

During recording, Lucía Pérez was been part of the Carnival and she was singing and dancing with people who were dressed in a fancy costume.

RTVE has announced that the video clip and the final version of Que Me Quiten Lo Bailao will be officially presented this week.

«Que Me Quiten Lo Bailao»

Performed by: Lucía Pérez
Music & Lyrics: Rafael Artesero

Ouo uo oo, ouo uo oo

y me caeré
sé que a fin de cuentas he «disfrutao»
de todo lo «bailao»

Ouo uo oo, ouo uo oo

y me caeré
sé que a fin de cuentas ya disfruté
de todo lo bailao

Ouo uo uo uo oo uo uo uo uo oo
Ahora que me quiten, que me quiten lo bailao (bis)

Me siento tan bien, me siento tan bien
que nunca nunca nunca en negativo pensaré

Y sé bien que van a venir tormentas
y me caeré
pero a fin de cuentas ya disfruté de todo lo bailao

Ouo uo oo, ouo uo oo,
y ahora que me quiten, que me quiten lo bailao (bis)
