Basque police identify 58 people involved in internet child pornography

The Basque police have identified 58 people across Spain involved in child pornography on the internet.

The Interior Department of the regional government in the Basque Country has uncovered a network of internet child pornography, which they say involves 58 people in various parts of Spain.

Their investigations began last August, as part of a regular search of web sites. They discovered a file on the computer of a Vizcaya man, which contained pornographic images of children downloaded from the internet.

He was formally charged with child pornography.

They have now identified a total of 58 people across the country who used the same server to exchange images of child pornography.

Arrests may be announced shortly.
